All you need is a deck of cards.
Holding, dealing, shuffling, and flipping cards are some of the best (and most overlooked) fine motor activities out there. This packet gives those skills structure. Students deal cards onto printable sorting mats, and you get meaningful data without extra prep.
Have the student hold the deck in their non-dominant hand and deal with their dominant hand to work on bilateral coordination. Place the deck on their non-dominant side to encourage crossing midline. Add a timer to track speed and efficiency, and count fumbles to measure control. Because the sorting mats build in color recognition, visual perception, and math, you’re targeting motor and academic skills at the same time.
