It’s really common for school OTs to use visual-motor integration and visual perceptual assessments. But today, let’s talk about the assessment that correlates to reading fluency.

Here are some of the most common visual assessment tools that I use when looking at a child’s visual efficiency.
- The Visual Skills Appraisal, 2nd edition: VSA-2
- The Developmental Eye Movement Test: DEM
Can i use DEM as an assessment test and also during the therapy session e.g. exercise the muscle that controlling saccades?
This is a great resource? Can certified special educators administer this? And am I right that it’s not a screener? Would we then need parental consent before we administer to a student? Danielle
Sorry That was supposed to say this is a great resource !!!!!
Hello, I have been looking for your “Help sheet” to order the DEM….is is still available? Using the link listed on your video about it ended up putting spam on my computer and locked it up till I got our district tech to help. 🙁
I have used the old DEM for years and was so glad to see an update, but the process is so cumbersome, our district will not buy it, I need to do it on my own.
thanks for any tips.
