Unfortunately, children’s difficulty with vision is often attributed to something else: misbehaving, reading disabilities, or even ADHD. Many symptoms of these problems are also symptoms of ocularmotor difficulties.
Here are some of the most common visual assessment tools that I use when looking at a child’s visual efficiency.
  • The Visual Skills Appraisal, 2nd edition:  VSA-2
  • The Developmental Eye Movement Test: DEM
  • Functional Behavior of Visual Deficiencies Checklist
  • Ocular motor screening
